Implementation

The BUTTERFLIES project structured around interdisciplinary collaboration among 13 partners from 9 countries, including R&D centres, SMEs, Industry Leaders, and End Users. The project will run for 36 months and covers the full value chain.

By leveraging these materials within Binder Jetting (BJT) and Two-Photon Polymerisation (2PP) technologies, the project promotes greener production methods. This responds to the broader European objectives under the twin transition framework: The green and digital transformation of industry.

• Focus on bio-material development and adaptation of 3D printing systems (BJT and 2PP).
• Digital biosphere integration - AI/ML tools for process optimisation, digital twins, and simulations..
• Case studies and demonstrations - Validation of applications in biomedical and industrial sectors..
• Dissemination, communication, standardisation, training, and exploitation activities.
